While I fully support making insurance coverage available for those previously declined due to preexisting conditions, during all the years since 2010 (when ACA was passed), there had rarely been a discussion of the value of true health, the value to our health care system of pursuing good health, and the individual responsibility that comes with the right to affordable health care.
We are in a crisis of declining health, yet we, as Americans are NOT called to action.
The internet can be a wonderful thing and a follower of mine sent me a link to an amazing, powerful, and prophetic article, The Soft American, written by president-elect John F. Kennedy in 1960, which answered my question and proved to be the last call to personal responsibility for health that I've seen (by a president).
Thanks to friend (and battler for truth), Vik Khanna, and his recognition of the power of JFK's prophecy and relevance, today...he invited me to co-author this wonderful piece, which made the front page of the national...The Health Care Blog.
